• Machine learning with applications to computational biology and medicine
• Feature selection and dimensionality reduction
• Microarray data analysis, Biomarker identification
• Statistical modeling of sequential processes (language, speech, proteins, business processes, network logs, ...)
• Hidden Markov Models induction and estimation
• Formal grammar and automata induction
